Hope For Tomorrow

Hope For Tomorrow

Long lonely minutes become desolate days
Devoid of love and emotion, I am
Captive to a long ago promise
Years in isolation stretch on, my
Heart numb from years of buried emotion.
For ages afraid to reach beyond
Myself for anything.
Strength and tenacity aid my soul’s survival.
I have an unquenchable need to go on.
Hope, but a glowing ember, has
Awaited a meandering breeze.
This life pause shall cease, I reach
With vulnerability to ascertain the
Gentle wind upon my heart.
Adrift in your kindness, your serene
Subsistence moves me to new life.
With increasing assuredness, I offer
My hearts desires, and apportion my soul
With you.
Time stretches on now, but my hearts rests
Secure in the hope of your love.
